Last week, I attended the 2025 presidential address and fought back against policies hurting working families, stood with first responders, and made sure seniors and students know we’ve got their backs.

🚨 Attending the Presidential Address & Calling Out Trump For His Dumb Tariffs

At the presidential address, Trump openly admitted his tariffs will make life more expensive for working people. Instead of fixing the economy for everyday Americans, he’s doubling down on policies that drive up prices at the grocery store. I called him out for his dumb tariffs and he quickly reversed course the next day.

🏥 Rallying Against Medicaid Cuts with Pediatricians

Republicans want to gut Medicaid and rip health care away from kids, seniors, and working parents—all to give more tax breaks to billionaires. Check out the Congressional Budget Office report here if you don’t believe! This week, I teamed up with Dads Caucus member Rep. Dave Min and pediatricians to discuss how the impact of these cuts will hurt working families.

🔥 Supporting LA Firefighters

I met with Los Angeles firefighters who put their lives on the line battling the LA fires. These heroes deserve more than just our gratitude—they need resources, protections, and policies that support their work. I’ll keep pushing to ensure Congress has their backs.

📚 Read Across America at Eagle Rock Elementary

I visited Eagle Rock Elementary School to read to students for Read Across America Week. President Trump abolishing the Department of Education only hurts students and communities across the country. Teachers and parents made it clear: our schools need investment, not cuts. I’ll always stand with our students.

🏡 Congress on Your Doorstep: Meeting with Seniors at Nueva Maravilla Homes

I went door to door at Nueva Maravilla Public Housing, meeting seniors who wanted to connect and making sure they know my office is here to help. Too often, seniors don’t know where to turn for help with Social Security, Medicare, and other federal issues. That’s why I handed out “Know Your Rights” materials and casework resources—because every senior deserves to live with dignity and support.

From calling out Trump’s harmful tariffs and fighting for health care to supporting students, seniors, and first responders, I’m here to fight for LA families.
