Dear Friends,This week, my House Democrats colleagues and I were busy passing vital legislation to boost our nation's infrastructure and expand government oversight. Here's an update on our recent work, as well as two of my bills included in these historic legislative packages!Yesterday, we passed a once-in-a-generation transportation and infrastructure bill, the INVEST in America Act, which included my Transit to Trails Act! This bill funds transportation programs for underserved communities to our parks and public lands to promote nature equity and ensure all Americans can enjoy the great outdoors.The INVEST in America Act also includes $21.6 million in funding for transportation projects in California's 34th Congressional District. These projects, including funding to expand Union Station and to study converting urban highways to city boulevards, will improve the mobility, public health, and livability of all our neighbors.
