I inspected the Port of LA, where Trump’s 145% tariffs on everything from strollers to gaming consoles are slowing cargo to a crawl. Lower volume means fewer jobs, emptier shelves, and higher prices—and I’m not letting it slide.

🛍️ Supporting Small Biz, Defending the Dream

This National Small Business Week, I joined the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to lift up entrepreneurs and small businesses in Los Angeles like Nativo and El Gallo Bakery. While Trump attacks community lenders, I’m fighting to protect the economic engines on every corner of LA.

This week, we celebrated nurses, teachers, and public servants—the people who keep our communities running. From standing with nurses on the frontlines to joining Mr. Avila’s students at El Sereno Middle for our App Challenge, I’m proud to honor your service and spark the next generation of changemakers.

This Mother’s Day week, I rallied with MomsRising to stop Medicaid cuts that hurt families. We took our fight to Capitol Hill—because no kid should lose healthcare so an ultra-wealthy billionaire can buy another mega yacht.
