Stephen Miller Needs to Go
Dear friend,
Stephen Miller — the protege of alt-right leader Steve Bannon and an old friend of the white nationalist leader Richard Spencer — has been the architect of President Trump’s most hardline immigration positions. He has been the man behind such hateful policies like the Muslim travel ban, separating migrant families at the border, and the efforts to end of DACA.
Miller has waged a systematic attack on all forms of immigration by promoting the false and offensive notion that foreign-born citizens or immigrants represent a threat to our country. And sadly, he’s just getting started. That is just one of many reasons why I’ve called on President Trump to fire him.
Until Miller is removed from his post, I fear it will be nearly impossible to reach a practical legislative solution on immigration that upholds our country’s values and recognizes the dignity of those who wish to call the U.S. their home.
