💸 Trump’s Dumb Tariffs Are Dragging Us Into a Recession

Trump tried to call it “Liberation Day,” but his dumb tariffs are just hidden taxes on working families. From groceries to laptops to car parts, Americans are paying more. I called him out—and mark my words: April 2 is the day the Trump Slump turned into the Trump Recession. No plan. No strategy. Just chaos and higher prices for American families.

🚫 Johnson Lost—Then Pulled the Plug

We should’ve been voting to let new moms and dads use proxy voting after I, along the Dads Caucus, helped defeat Speaker Johnson’s dirty tricks to block us. But after losing fair and square, he pulled the rug out and canceled all votes. Why are Republicans so afraid of helping working parents? The more Congress reflects the people it serves, the better it will deliver for the working class.

📱 Signalgate: Leaks & Lies

New reporting shows Trump’s National Security Adviser Mike Waltz has been sharing sensitive military info in unsecured Signal chats and gmail communications—and may have leaked intel from a key U.S. ally. I called for Waltz to resign and joined Intel Committee Democrats in demanding an independent investigation because they’re putting our brave men and women in uniform at risk.

🕊️ Honoring Rep. Raul Grijalva

Rep. Raul Grijalva was one-of-a-kind—a true champion for people and the planet. Like me, he was the son of a Bracero. He treated everyone with the same kindness, no matter their title. I honored his legacy on the House floor with a tribute to his lifelong fight for justice, and we’ll miss him deeply.
