Dear Neighbor,
As wildfires continue to impact our district and the greater Los Angeles area, I want to assure you that my team and I are closely monitoring the fires impacting our communities. This morning, I spoke with The White House as well as state and local officials to coordinate efforts to combat the Eaton Fire. I'm working to ensure resources and assistance are readily available for all affected residents.
Emergency Updates
Eaton Fire Status: As of 10:55am, the Eaton Fire has burned approximately 10,600 acres near Altadena and Pasadena. Firefighters are working aggressively to slow the spread and protect critical infrastructure under extreme conditions. Red Flag high wind conditions are expected to continue until Thursday evening, increasing the potential for spot fires and rapid expansion.
Evacuation Orders: Mandatory evacuations are in place for residents north of Orange Grove/Rosemead Blvd., east of Lake Ave., and west of Michillinda Ave. If you are in this area, please evacuate immediately.
Evacuation Centers: The following shelters are open for residents displaced by the fires:
- Eaton Community Center, 1234 Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012
- Valley High School, 5678 Park Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90017
