Dear Friend,
Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity for us to recognize the history, culture, and achievements of the Latino community in Los Angeles and across the nation. Whether they were immigrants or native-born, our community has made enormous and lasting contributions to art, culture, science, and business in America.
It is also a chance for many of us – myself included – to reflect on the sacrifices our parents have made for their children so they can have a life better than they could have ever imagined.
