Dear Neighbor,

This week, I was in our district continuing our fight against Donald Trump. From speaking out against his inhumane treatment of our immigrant neighbors to his economic agenda that hurts working families, I will keep holding this administration accountable.

Called out Trump for Always Chickening Out (TACO) on Trade Deals

Every time Trump threatens tariffs, he chickens out, which causes markets to panic, businesses hesitate, and consumers like YOU pay more.

He promised 90 trade deals in 90 days, but he has no long-term agreements. No real progress to show. Just chaos that hurts workers, farmers, and families.

Let’s be clear: a president who can’t finish a trade deal doesn’t deserve another chance to mess with your wallet.

Blasted The Trump Administration's Termination of TPS for Honduras and Nicaragua

Spoke on CNN about Trump's performative "ICE Raid" stunt at MacArthur Park in Downtown L.A.

I joined Jessica Dean on CNN to discuss the ICE raid in Downtown L.A., where federal immigration officers and nearly 90 National Guard troops stormed MacArthur Park while kids attended summer camp and healthcare workers ran a medical clinic for residents. They are not going after criminals, they are targeting anyone who is brown or doesn’t fit their idea of a “typical American.”

When I was in foreign countries, I saw troops on the streets with big guns. I was scared and intimidated, but I never thought I’d see it here at home. As a father, I’m horrified that our children are now witnessing the same in the United States.

Let me be clear: this is unacceptable, and I will fight these unlawful raids with everything I got.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the Camp Mystic tragedy, where flash floods have killed 90 people so far, including 27 children. As a dad, my heart breaks for the kids and families. It’s something all parents fear.

In time, we have to ask the hard question: could this have been prevented?

We owe it to the people who lost their lives and to their families. That’s why I’ve called on the Republican Majority in Congress to hold hearings on the Camp Mystic tragedy, when appropriate, as soon as possible.
