💸 Republicans Blocked My Amendment to Tax Billionaires

During the Ways and Means tax debate, I pushed an amendment: to tax income over $1 billion at 39.5%. That’s it. A single change to make the ultra-rich pay a fair share. Republicans? They shut it down—along with amendments to fund healthcare for seniors and kids, affordable housing, and paid family leave. They chose the BILLIONAIRES over BABIES. But I’m not done fighting, we’re demanding a NO vote on their Tax Scam bill when it comes to the House floor.

🍼 Calling Out Trump’s Baby Tax

Trump’s tariffs on strollers, cribs, and other essentials is really just a baby tax on parents. At the Port of LA last week, I saw firsthand how his trade policies are jacking up costs and putting everything from car seats to other baby essentials—and jobs—on hold. With fellow Dads Caucus member, Senator Ruben Gallego, and Whip Rep. Katherine Clark, we made it clear: this is a tax on working parents and baby products should be exempt from tariffs.

⚖️ Birthright Citizenship Is Under Attack

SCOTUS just heard arguments on whether Trump can end birthright citizenship—and stop courts from blocking his executive actions. The 14th Amendment is clear: if you’re born here, you’re a citizen. End of story. SCOTUS must reject this unconstitutional power grab.
