Dear Friends,

The newly-expanded Child Tax Credit from the American Rescue Plan is a big deal! My House Democrats colleagues and I worked hard to deliver this guaranteed monthly income for working families nationwide, and I'm happy to announce that payments begin tomorrow, Thursday, July 15th!

This benefit, which has been expanded to the lowest-income Americans for the first time, will pay families $250 per child age 6-17 and $300 per child age 0-5 each month for a total of $3,000 or $3,600, respectively.

How To Get Your Money:

- If you've filed taxes in the last two years, you don't need to do anything. Payments will be deposited directly into your bank account starting tomorrow.

- If you make too little to file taxes, use the IRS' Non-Filers Portal to claim your credit. You'll need your Social Security Number, email address, and mailing address.

- The IRS will soon release a portal where you can submit relevant life updates like a change in income or the birth of a new child.
