Fire-Damaged Section of 10 Freeway Located in Gomez’s District

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Congressman Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) applauded the quick release of $3 million in federal funds for repairs to the 10 freeway damaged by last weekend’s fire. These funds are a result of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Gomez voted for and was signed into law exactly two years ago today.

“I’m pleased to announce that $3 million in federal funds has been released for the urgent repairs needed on the section of the 10 freeway located in my district. I’ve been in close contact with local, state, and federal officials to ensure funds are released quickly and repairs are done as soon as possible to get the thousands of commuters impacted back on the highway,” said Gomez. “These emergency funds are the result of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which I voted for and was signed into law exactly two years ago. I will continue advocating for resources for our community to recover from this incident.”
