My mom lives on Social Security alone. In Donald Trump's America where these vital programs are on the chopping block, it's people like my parents that are left behind. I visited the Teen Tech Center at the Weingart YMCA in Boyle Heights. I was able to secure $1.5 million in federal funding which has enabled them and other local YMCAs to provide teens with access to all sorts of different resources. From a recording studio, to a computer lab, 3D printers, an embroidery machine, and more: the Teen Tech Center is providing the youth of Boyle Heights with opportunities to explore and pursue their ambitions!
