Dads Caucus

Washington, D.C. — Today U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (CA-30) joined the Congressional Dads Caucus—a group of over 30 parents in Congress led by U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) who fight for family friendly policies like affordable child care, paid family leave and the enhanced Child Tax Credit. 

“As a proud new member of the Dads Caucus, I am excited to continue tackling the challenges facing our state, especially when it comes to making life more affordable for families with children,” Rep. Schiff said. “The Dads Caucus is dedicated to advancing policies that ensure every family has the resources they need to thrive, including robust support for affordable child care, an enhanced Child Tax Credit and better job opportunities. As an added benefit, this is a group that is sure to appreciate my extensive repertoire of high-quality dad jokes.”

The Congressional Dads Caucus provides a forum for members of Congress to advocate for legislation that supports working families. Caucus members believe in policy solutions that help working families thrive, including paid family and medical leave policies for all, expanding the Child Tax Credit, increasing access to childcare, and supporting other policies that reduce poverty and ease the burden on working parents.
