Los Angeles,
October 20, 2020
Los Angeles – Today, Congressman Jimmy Gomez announced his office has helped individual constituents through casework recover more than $1.17 million from the federal government. Since coming to Congress in 2017, Congressman Gomez’s office has handled nearly 2,000 constituent requests and recovered over $1.17 million for CA-34 residents. In 2020, Congressman Gomez’s office has handled over 800 constituent requests, helped Angelenos return from nine countries during the COVID-19 pandemic, and recovered $284,372.68 from federal agencies for CA-34 residents. “Constituent services has always been my top priority, but the COVID-19 pandemic has forced my office to drastically change how we help our constituents,” said Congressman Gomez. “To maintain the health and safety of our community, I’ve had to conduct outreach to Angelenos, essential workers, and community leaders virtually to ensure our neighbors are receiving the federal assistance I’ve fought for in Congress. As more and more working families are struggling during this crisis, I’ve shifted additional resources to my casework staff to ensure everyone who has requested assistance can be helped in a timely manner. My office is always ready to work with federal agencies on your behalf, connect you to local resources, and make certain your family has the support they need.” Click here to contact Congressman Gomez’s casework staff for assistance. |
