Los Angeles, California – Today, May 31, 2018, at 9:00am PT, Congressman Jimmy Gomez (D – Los Angeles) will host a press conference in response to reports that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) lost track of nearly 1,500 unaccompanied minors in 2017.

Local community and national advocacy groups will join Congressman Gomez as he calls on his committee – the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee – to open a full and thorough investigation into the treatment of immigrant children in federal custody.

This event will be open to the public.
