LOS ANGELES, CA – Today U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) announced the launch of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for California’s 34th congressional district.
For 43 years, members of Congress have participated in this nationwide competition to celebrate the artistic talents of high school students across the country. This year, Congressman Gomez is proud to continue this tradition, inviting high school students from across the district to showcase their artistic abilities for the chance to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. “Every year, I am honored to witness the immense talent of student artists in California’s 34th congressional district. I am excited to open up this competition to Los Angeles high schoolers once again so that we can encourage and celebrate the young artists in our community,” said Rep. Gomez. All high school students who reside in California’s 34th congressional district are invited to participate. Artwork must be original in concept, design, and execution, and must not violate U.S. copyright laws. Additional guidelines for the competition can be found here. Students can submit their artwork now through April 26, 2024, at 5 P.M. P.T. at Congressman Gomez’s District Office. For any questions, please contact our District Office at (213) 481-1425. ### |
