Los Angeles, CA – Today, Congressman Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) hosted a roundtable discussion at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center regarding the critical healthcare issues that impact residents of California’s 34th Congressional District.
Joined by stakeholders from 20 organizations, Congressman Gomez’s roundtable focused on topics ranging from the progress made by the Affordable Care Act, the need to continue strengthening Los Angeles’ housing and mental health services, and the role the Trump administration’s anti-immigrant policies play in the lives of those seeking to access life-saving, preventative health services.
“As health and wellness touch every aspect of our life, it’s critical that we listen to the concerns and feedback of Los Angeles’ medical community to help them better serve our residents and address their healthcare needs,” said Congressman Gomez. “I’d like to thank the medical professionals, healthcare providers, and hospital administrators who joined us today for our Healthcare Roundtable at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center.”
