Project Angel Food on Wednesday unveiled “Nourishing the Community,” a three-story mural by internationally renowned artist Robert Vargas, at its Vine Street headquarters in Hollywood. The mural, which spans the south façade of the building, depicts a matriarchal guardian as a symbol of strength, safety and solidarity for vulnerable neighbors served by the nonprofit. Speakers at the unveiling included Vargas; Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub… Ivette Aragon, district director for U.S. Rep. Jimmy Gomez, also presented a certificate on the congressman’s behalf.
