The Trump admin has no dignity—even when it comes to children. As ICE keeps showing up without warrants in public places and harassing kids, I'll keep hosting know-your-rights workshops—so families aren’t tricked by the Trump administration. For Trump and Stephen Miller, it was never just about stopping illegal immigration. They want to stop all immigration — and block anyone they don’t deem “worthy” from ever becoming a citizen.

🚩 Trump says tariffs would bring “short-term pain.” But how long is “short-term”? A month? A year? Still waiting… Since that hearing, Trump’s tariffs have cost working families more in higher prices. No plan. No timeline. No answers. They don’t know how long it’ll last— And they don’t care because they’re not like us. They’re billionaires.

Trump says he’s “very happy” with how the country’s doing. All while families are getting crushed by inflation, layoffs, and economic whiplash from his reckless trade wars. But he’s too out of touch to see it.

On this day 78 years ago, the Mendez, Guzman, Palomino & Estrada families won Mendez v. Westminster, ending segregation in CA schools and paving the way for Brown v. Board. I was honored to work with Sylvia Mendez to pass legislation naming the LA Federal Courthouse after her parents—so their fight is forever part of U.S. history.

Trump still has tariffs in effect that will affect LA’s small businesses, restaurants, and shops. As costs of importing goods increases, prices will go up on everything from produce to baby onesies. Enough is enough.
