Creates a new incentive within the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit to promote the development of housing for Extremely Low-Income households. A version of this bill passed the House on November 19, 2021 as part of H.R. 5376 – Build Back Better Act.

H.R. 2924: Transit to Trails Act


This legislation creates a grant program at the Department of Transportation (DOT) to fund projects that make transportation to green spaces and public lands and waters more accessible for critically underserved communities. A version of this bill is included in the landmark Environmental Justice for All Act introduced by Chair Raúl M. Grijalva (AZ-03) and Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04), and it passed the House on July 1, 2021 as part of the

This legislation, named after a CA-34 constituent who lost her battle with cervical cancer at age 32, would increase availability of preventative, life-saving cancer screenings at safety net and reproductive healthcare providers like Planned Parenthood.

H.R. 5011 – Choose Medicare Act 


This legislation creates a new Medicare program – Medicare Part E – available to every individual who is not already eligible for Medicare or Medicaid. Medicare Part E would be self-sustaining, fully paid for by premiums, and offered on all state and federal exchanges, giving people the ability to use the existing Affordable Care Act subsidies to help pay for it. Additionally, employers could choose to select Medicare Part E rather than private insurance to provide affordable and reliable health care to their employees.

H.R. 3822: ASSET Act


This legislaton would eliminate federal asset limits set on eligibility for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and would raise the federal asset limit for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) eligibility.

H.R. 5012 – Language Access for Medicare Beneficiaries Act of 2021 


This legislation requires the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to translate Medicare & You into additional languages, prioritizing those that are most frequently translated by the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA) and those most requested by applicants for federal Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance benefits under title II of the Social Security Act.
